Omotenashi Guide Fukushima おもてなし福島通訳ガイドの会

ABOUT US

We are at your service to guide around Fukushima Prefecture in English, Chinese and Korean. Most of us are Fukushima Designated Local Guides certified by the prefectural government.

Through periodical study sessions and excursions to various regions of the prefecture, we aim to keep up with the latest updates, brush up our language, communication and guiding skills to meet your requests.

GUIDING

Fukushima has a lot to offer: three national parks, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Bandai Geopark, historical heritage, mountains, lakes, marshes, rivers, snow, best quality hot springs and many more. Our interpreter-guides are from different regions throughout Fukushima to meet your interests. Kindly e-mail us hopefully at least one week prior to your visit to our beloved homeland.

FUKUSHIMA PREFECTURE

Fukushima had been down in the darkness for a long time since the Great East Japan Earthquakes and the subsequent nuclear power plant’s fatal accident. Decontamination and reconstruction works are on the way, however, many difficult issues still remain to be solved. Citizens of Fukushima would never run away though from the unprecedented natural and man-made disasters. We are determined to meet challenges every day - for we would never forget the immeasurable support we had received from people around us and all over the world. The secret of our strength probably lies in the soil of Fukushima itself, and we are proud to guide Fukushima, our beautiful and wounded homeland.
